From the foremost authority on Paleo-Hebrew, Peter Flint Ph.D. discusses The meaning of the Dead Sea Scrolls, their significance for understanding the Bible, Judaism, Jesus and Christianity.
- Is there life on the Planet Mars?
- Are there monuments on Mars?
- What about the mile-wide "Face" on Mars?
- Has the Earth received "visitors" from the Planet Mars?
- Why did the ancient cultures worship the wandering planet?
Recent news releases by NASA have claimed provocative conclusions from studies of alleged Martian meteorites.
The question of life on other planets has been raised again, not by Hollywood but by the scientific community.
- What is the purpose of the Great Tribulation?
- What is the prophetic role of Ammon, Moab, and Edom (now known as Jordan)?
- Where does Jesus return? On the Mount of Olives or in Bozrah?
Jesus warns the dwellers in Judea that when they see the "Abomination of Desolation" - a desecrating idol installed in the Holy of Holies of the Temple - to flee to the mountains. The remnant of Israel will find refuge there for three and a half years while God protects them and provides for them.
Over the many decades that I have enjoyed my love affair with the Bible, I have had the marvelous benefit of many great teachers. But I also would like to let you in on a precious secret. The greatest personal growth I've ever witnessed occurred in a home Bible study. The fellowship of those intimate home groups, where people can interact, ask questions, and hold one another accountable, was the place of growth for all of us -- teacher and student.
When did Satan fall?
We know that the angels were created prior to the Earth. We find Satan had already fallen in Genesis 3. The mystery is, when did he fall? It appears that there are substantial Scriptural references to his rebellion, his agenda, and the subsequent catastrophic judgment that ensued.
This is an intensive review of what the Apostle Paul calls the most important chapter in the Bible: 1 Corinthians 15. Without it, “we are of all men most miserable.”
There continue to be many questions concerning the "Rapture" of the Church and its apparent contrast with the "Second Coming" of Jesus Christ. Where does this strange view come from? Is the term "rapture" even in the Bible?
Clearly, the idea of the Rapture can be considered the most preposterous belief in Biblical Christianity. The situation regarding the doctrine of the Rapture is painfully similar to the famous quote by Michio Kaku, speaking of quantum physics:
The rapid rise of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has caused many in the world to wonder at its apocalyptic implications. We will examine this emerging problem with what I like to call the “Issachar Challenge” Therefore, we need to address three questions concerning this area of the world:
The Book of Ruth is venerated in college literature classes as one of the most elegant love stories of all time.
What most people don’t realize, is that it is one of the most significant “New Testament” books located in the Old Testament–and it stands as a pivotal study in Bible Prophecy! It is an essential prerequisite to understanding the Book of Revelation!
This tiny, 4-chapter book is one of the most inexhaustible sources of spiritual insight in the entire Bible.
- The Book of Acts covers about 30 years: Chapters 2 and 3 of the Book of Revelation cover the next 2,000.
This study will explore the seven letters by Jesus Christ to actual historical churches and the church ages they represent. These letters describe, with amazing precision, the unfolding of all church history in advance. This chronicle fills the gap between the 69th and 70th Week of Daniel.
We will also find many insightful personal applications as we apply each letter to ourselves.
Four Levels of Application:
From the beginning of time, thinkers have puzzled over the paradox of fate vs. Free will. In theological terms, this leads to the struggle between Calvinism and Arminianism. As we explore this paradox we find that examining the fruit of each position reveals that the River of Life seems to flow between these two extremes, and that again, truth involves a careful balance.
We hear a lot about the "Sovereignty of God": and the prerogatives of our Creator are pretty obvious.
The apostle Paul told the Corinthian Christians, “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.”
Sadly, today many people are confused about the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
- Who or what is the Holy Spirit?
- What are the gifts of the Spirit?
- Are the gifts of the Spirit for today?
- Do all Christians have spiritual gifts?
- What is the greatest sign of being filled with the Holy Spirit?
Join Dr. Chuck Missler as he examines the Spiritual Gifts.
Do you know what the fastest growing religion on the Planet Earth is?
ISLAM . . . . and fanatic Muslims have an aggressive agenda from a legacy of hate that may be the greatest challenge to Christianity in the coming century. The surprising occult origins of Islam did not begin with Muhammad.
With their oil revenues and their possession of nuclear weapons, their aggressive agenda cannot be ignored.
They believe they now have the resources to disconnect the Middle East from the Judeo-Christian world order.
Is there One God or Three? How does one reconcile the "One God" of the Sh'ma with the "Three Persons" of the Trinity?
The doctrine of the trinity has been at the heart of much theological controversy. The routine objection is that the doctrine sacrifices monotheism to "tritheism." But this objection thrives on a misconception of divine personality in the image of disparate, individual, human selves.
This type of rationalistic apologetics, promotive of trinitarianism on speculative rather than revelational grounds, regrettably encourages this misunderstanding.
Our Lord repeatedly instructed us: "Be not deceived." That is an imperative: a command, not simply a suggestion. But how? What are the tools to prevent our being deceived or misled?
It is ironic that Jesus' opening imperative in His "Olivet Discourse" is "Take heed that no man deceive you". This is His command, but it begs a question of means: "How do we avoid that?" There seems to be more conjectures and misunderstandings over this passage than almost any other in the New Testament.
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. Deuteronomy 29:29
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come: but the body is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17
In this briefing pack Thy Kingdom Come, Chuck Missler gives insight into the questions, Are you ready? Do you understand? Does your behavior now matter later?
- Where are we headed?
- Can we do anything to halt the downward spiral of our once great nation?
Chuck Missler reviews the "state of the union" and the results of the liberal agenda. We take our lead from Jeremiah and Hosea: we can see the storm coming-we may not be able to divert or stop it, but we can warn others. Our prayer throughout this crisis is that the lessons won't be wasted.
It's time to get serious! Only a miracle can save America, but fortunately God is in the miracle business!
- This strategic overview of both the Old and New Testaments highlights the integrity of the 66 books, penned by over 40 authors over thousands of years, we call the Bible.
Although the authors are so widely separated by time, we now discover the Bible to be an integral whole with its origin outside the time domain altogether.
Missler's enlightening view of the cohesiveness of the Bible will open your eyes to new depths of insight and understanding.
